The Birth of Indikea
In the heart of Jaipur, where vibrant colors and centuries-old craft traditions breathe life into every corner, our founders grew up surrounded by stories woven in chiffon, georgette, silk, zari, and hand-spun cotton. Their family celebrated every occasion with the grace of a saree, their earliest memories are of their mother draping carefully folding heirloom Bandhej pieces.
The imitation prints replacing real handwork, and the undervalued labour behind every thread.
In 2024, driven by a shared calling and brainstorming sessions, the founders decided to take a leap of faith and hence Indikea was born—not just as a saree label, but as a movement to revive, respect, and reimagine India's traditional textile arts.
They began by working directly with a handful of artisans from Jaipur and nearby clusters—handpicking Bandhej, Leheriya, Kota Doria, and Gota Patti sarees—focusing on slow fashion, fair wages, and cultural preservation. Each piece at Indikea carries a handwritten story from the artisan, a nod to its unique journey.
What sets Indikea founders apart isn’t just their understanding of business—it’s their reverence for heritage. Balancing their day with designing the beautiful sarees and artisan visits, and Instagram reels shot in the golden light of Jaipur rooftops, they have grown Indikea into a passion-powered brand for women who want more from their wardrobes: meaning, history, and heart.
